High jumper leads strong Woodland showing

KITCHENER — David Nightingale participates in the high jump because he enjoys it.

It’s as simple as that.

The Woodland Christian student dusts off his spikes once a year and trains with the Cavaliers track and field squad, never once thinking about how high he could go if he joined a club and put some serious effort into it. He simply gives it everything he has during the short high school season and then puts his jumping shoes away.
